Proverb of the day :- The better the day, the better the deed

Proverb of the day :- The better the day, the better the deed

Meaning / example :-
In some societies, Sunday is meant to be the day of rest. It is when some religious people believe it is a sin to work. However, sometimes it is unnavoidable to do some work on a Sunday. Work done on a Sunday (the better day of the week) has more merit and virtue than work done any other day. This proverb is pretty much unheard of nowadays. It would have been quoted verbatum in response to been admonished for working on a Sunday.
