Meaning / example :-
A person can only take a certain amount of pain, heartache or trouble and no more. A cup can only contain a certain amount of liquid and no more; at some point the addition of one more drop will cause the cup to overflow. This proverb is not common anymore. However, the sentiment is quite common and reflected in similar proverbs like
